Cape Town Art Weekend

5 - 7 November 2021

Cape Town Art Weekend is a collaborative initiative launched to invite existing and new audiences back into the city’s art spaces. Organisations from across the city’s arts ecology will participate in the three-day festival, including art centres, commercial galleries, artist studios, museums and foundations.

 

Participants include A4 Arts Foundation, ArtThrob, Association for Visual Arts, blank projects, Church Projects, The Hoodshed, EBONY/CURATED, Eclectic Contemporary, Goodman Gallery, Norval Foundation, Shakes Mbolekwana, Lesole Tauatswala and Associates, SMAC Gallery, South Atlantic Press, StateoftheART Gallery, Stevenson, THEFOURTH, The Upheaval Utterance through Zealous art (UUZ), WALL, Koena Art Institute, proto  ̴, OPEN 24 HOURS, Barnard Gallery, RK Contemporary, THK Gallery, Everard Read, 131 A Gallery, Iziko South African National Gallery (SANG), WHATIFTHEWORLD and Zeitz MOCAA.

 

Zeitz MOCAA will be hosting the inaugural Cape Town Art Weekend Opening Event on Friday, 5 November from 6 to 8 pm. Tickets are limited to 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis via Webtickets.

 

Barnard presents a Richard Mudariki's solo exhibition 'Gore ra 2020' in the main gallery space and a survey of the gallery’s publication activities to date in their second smaller space adjacent to the main gallery.

 

Special opening hours for the Cape Town Art Weekend:

Friday 5 November 10 am - 5 pm

Saturday 6 November 10 am - 1 pm

Sunday 7 November 10 am - 1 pm
